Are you in need of encouragement?
"Sometimes I wake up discouraged and God doesn't want me to be. So, I just ask Him first thing in the morning to encourage me today. God gives courage to my heart when I open up His word and hear Him speak. For the longest time, I thought He only spoke to the big people at church, the pastors, the evangelists, the Sunday school teachers and the Bible leaders. I didn't know that our BIG GOD would talk to little me straight from His word. When I started going to Him every morning with my Bible in hand, I started to hear His voice, never audibly, but straight to my heart. Reading the Bible is no longer on my to-do list. It's a way of life. I'm afraid I'm going to miss something He has to say to me. He has a way of allowing His words to follow me throughout the day. I find that if I get dressed and get my shoes on before I meet with Him, I'm out the door. But if I can turn my back on the dishes and keep my bedroom slippers on a little bit longer, it forces me to slow down, park in His word, and He revs up my engine. He is the Best Encourager!"
