Getting Started
Sweet Monday Birth Certificate
When was the last time...
- You were invited to something fun and didn't have to RSVP?
- Where you did not have to bring a purse?
- Where you did not have to change your clothes?
- Where you did not have to stop at the store and bring something disguised as homemade?
- Where you could bring along a friend or two and feel no obligation to return the invitation?
Billy Graham said, "Christians must be open to creative change in trying new ways to communicate the gospel." (Christianity Today, December 1997) Sweet Monday is just that! Sweet Monday can happen anywhere. It can easily be incorporated into any home, church, job, social setting, or women's group. It's even a great start-up for a church without a women's ministry.
How to Make Sweet Monday Your Own
Invite every woman you know (and don't know!) by extending a personal invitation.
Choose a theme that appeals to you from one of the Sweet Monday volumes.
Each Sweet Monday volume contains one year of tried and true Sweet Monday themes. Women are Kim's inspiration and she writes themes based on women's passions. Not every woman will lead a Bible study or teach Vacation Bible School but they may know how to organize a closet, pack a suitcase or bake a yeast roll. You can purchase the Sweet Monday books through the Sweet Monday Shoppe.
Make it personal!
Kim's Sweet Monday meets the first Monday of every month, October-May, because that suits her husband's schoolteacher schedule. Sweet Monday works best when it fits your needs and those of your family's. Maybe the first Monday of the month, like it originally started, is your Girl Scout Night or PTA meeting, then, you can host a Sweet Monday on Tuesday or Sweet Monday on Thursday. You can host it in your home, your church or even your community clubhouse or recreation centers. Remember, if you have Sweet Monday the same place/same time, women do not have to think about directions!
Please contact Sweet Monday at SweetMondaymail@yahoo.com if you hostess a Sweet Monday in one of the green states. We want to recognize all states which have a Sweet Monday. We would love to send you a Sweet Hostess packet to register your group.
