S.P. Sweet Pea, When I first started Sweet Monday, I just put 3 Sweet Monday themes on the invitation/reminder card. I thought, I can do anything for 3 months, and I will quit if I don't like it! Now my card is complete in April for the fall Sweet Monday season, and I give it out the first Monday in May. Then the women have all summer to look forward to the kickoff in October, and I do not have to do a mailing. I have saved lots of time and money by not bulk mailing the Sweet Monday invitations and it encourages our Sweet Monday mission of "reaching out to women one sweet invitation at a time for Christ." Don't you love getting a personal invitation handed to you even if you can't attend? I always hand write "Sweet Monday, Women's Socials on a Shoestring...Tied to a Generous God" around the outside of the shoestring border to let women know Sweet Monday has a spiritual component. I have stopped holding Sweet Monday in the summer because of my husband's teaching schedule, and I never do Sweet Monday in September because it is Labor Day and moms are so busy because school is starting.
