Good News Girl is the title of a devotion written by Sweet Monday founder Kim Newlen. I absolutely love this title because there is no greater identity I have than God’s Good News Girl and no greater task than sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone around me.
During this month, we reflect on the life and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and we celebrate His resurrection. He is risen, defeating sin and death, and therefore we must go and share the Good News with those who do not know Him.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
Are you a follower of Christ? Have you been transformed by the Holy Spirit? If yes, are you sharing that Good News with others? Are you actively seeking ways to show the love of Christ to those around you? Are you being intentional about developing relationships that will provide opportunities to share the Good News of the Gospel?
At Sweet Monday, we coach, train and provide resources to our hostesses around the world to help them serve their local communities by inviting other women into their homes to build healthy relationships and connect them to the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25
Sweet Monday Hostesses are also part of a large community of women, who through prayer partners, social media, events, online meetings and more are able to encourage and stir up one another in the mission of Reaching Women for Christ, One Sweet Invitation at a Time.
