  1. Pause and consider who you will give your bags to. A “Neighbor” can be anyone you feel led to connect with in your community.
  2. Pray for the person to whom you will deliver your bag and for divine opportunities, open doors and sweet conversations. If you are shy ask God for courage.
  3. Prepare for delivery Fill each bag with cookies, cupcakes, brownies or any sweet treat that you want. The treats can be homemade or bought from your favorite bakery or grocery store.
  4. Resist the urge to leave the Project Cupcake bag at the door. The purpose of this project is face to face connections with people in our community.
  5. Share with your neighbor why you are delivering these goodies – “as a way to connect with friends and neighbors in our community with the love of Christ.”
  6. Ask open-ended questions such as “I’d love to hear how you’ve been.” “We haven’t caught up in a while, what’s going on?” “I see you’ve just moved in. Where are you from?” Depending on your conversation and how the Holy Spirit leads, you may feel led to pray with your neighbor.
  7. Pray Thank God for the opportunity to connect with your neighbor through His love. Ask God what is next for this relationship.
  8. Share your story by posting photos of your experience on social media #projectcupcake or email projectcupcake@sweetmonday.org.
  9. Ask God what is another way you can use Project Cupcake to connect with others in your community with the love of Christ.

“There’s a Sweet Monday group in Charleston that I used to attend. I loved that group of ladies – they became my family when we moved here and I had no family close. I loved the fellowship and how easy it was to get to know all of them!” Sweet Cathey, Summerville, SC

“I had been asking God to give me a way to broaden my hospitality sphere to include women I don’t usually interact with. I was even going to try something like this but with a different ministry before I even knew about Sweet Monday, however, this one just seemed like more of what I was looking for.” Sweet Hollie, Marietta, PA

“I’ve been wanting to minister to women but have been trepidatious about it. This is the perfect, most perfect solution.” Sweet Julia, New Holland, PA

“In 2004 a friend and I hosted a Sweet Monday group in NJ and it was a great way to bring women from all age groups together. God has been nudging me to start one now in Texas.” Sweet Sue, Allen, TX
